I missed April, but figured it’s still the beginning of May, so I can get away with this topic.
I am Jewish so Spring break isn’t so much of a break, it’s more of just a break from classes, as I celebrate the holiday of Passover. It’s actually nice to have one week where I don’t have to worry about grading. The thing is, how much does this apply to our students? I am sure many of our students have an exam right after break and spend the break studying. So is that good or bad? On the one hand, it’s not much of a break, on the other hand, it’s more time to study than if the test occurred during regular semester.
I also had other work to do during my break as I am work outside of CUNY as well. So break was really only a break from this class. Passover, I spent with family.
Spring break was also right before April 15th, so did my taxes!
